After a boxer beats the champion, their journey does not stop. The boxers have to prove themselves by defending their title against future top contenders. Once you’re recognized as a champion by one of the major boxing organizations, you can continue to fight in other boxing organizations and aim to become an undisputed champion.

Getting a facial tattoo is a bold move by any standard, and for Mike Tyson, it was also an act of rebellion. It marked his defiance against societal norms and the expectations placed on him by the world of professional sports and celebrity. This tattoo was a way for Tyson to take control over his own image and narrative, making a statement that he lived by his own rules.
While the decision against James Braddock had been narrow, most critics felt he had squandered his one chance at the title. The cast on his hand served as a reminder of that notion, as did Gould’s increasing difficulty in finding Braddock another fight. Ultimately, however, the American economy became his biggest challenger.
Like Miyata, Takamura is constantly struggling with weight control, so he is prone to losing stamina slightly quicker due to fighting in weight-classes below his natural weight, which is approximately 195 pounds. However, this weakness becomes less a hindrance as he moves up the weight classes closer to his natural weight which ironically means that each new champion Takamura fights will be facing a progressively, physically, stronger Takamura. To date Takamura’s hardest fights were when he was against Bryan Hawk and David Eagle. see in yahoo.com both instances his opponents were extremely good fighters and he was at the lowest end of his weight management making him at his physically weakest.
On 27 November 2021, Zhang faced Craig Lewis on the undercard of Teófimo López vs. George Kambosos Jr. Zhang started the fight off slowly, but dropped Lewis twice in round two, leading Lewis’ corner to throw in the towel, giving Zhang a win by TKO.
In 1988, the World Boxing Organization was started by a group of businessmen who left the WBA over a dispute over boxing rules. The WBO introduced the WBO championship belt as a boxing-sanctioning body.
After this win, Zhang is in line for a shot at one of Usyk’s three world title belts but will have to be patient. Joyce’s fellow Londoner Daniel Dubois — if he recovers from a serious knee injury — is first in line as the WBA mandatory challenger, and then there is Croatia’s IBF leading challenger Filip Hrgovic.
“In 2008 I made the Olympics and I got the silver medal, that’s when people started to recognize that there’s a big Chinese heavyweight that can fight. But that was it. Then I turned pro and in ten years I feel like I settled down, I’m not clout chasing. The more I settle down I realize I have to work hard and get where I am right now. I believe in both west and east worlds, I’m being recognized a lot more than before,” said Zhang.
WBO cruiserweight world champion Chris Billam-Smith: “I think Joyce stops him in the second half of the fight. Zhang was tiring in the last fight and I think Joe is smart enough to make adjustments early on to not get hit as much. So I think providing he doesn’t take too much damage early on, Joyce can get to Zhang and stop him later on in the fight.”
Following Zhang’s victory, reports stated that a bout between himself and Tyson Fury were being discussed. On 29 June an immediate rematch was announced for 23 September at Wembley Arena in London, England for the same title. Tyson Fury took to social media to offer Joyce sparring following the announcement.
